These are the rules governing the “Home Improvement Tip of the Week” contest aired on 92.5 Kickin’ Country radio and on the www.925kickincountry.com website, unless otherwise specified. In the following rules, “92.5 Kickin’ Country” means Charleston Radio Group, which owns 92.5 Kickin’ Country radio:

  1. No purchase is necessary to enter any 92.5 Kickin’ Country contest.
  2. Beginning on 12:01AM on Thursday, March 25, 2021 and continuing until 11:59PM on Monday, May 31, 2021, listeners may visit 925kickincountry.com and enter a home improvement question in the “Home Improvement Tip of the Week” contest. An individual may enter a question once during the contest period.    Each eligible individual who enters is automatically registered to win a $1000.00 (One Thousand Dollar) gift card to Dixie Furniture, 550 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, 29406.    One prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at approximately 10AM.
  3. Three (3) attempts will be made to contact the winner by phone and/or e-mail within 72 hours of the winner being selected. If the winner has not responded to contacts, another winner will be selected in a random drawing of the remaining eligible entries.
  4. Anytime you call the 92.5 Kickin’ Country studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast.
  5. As a winner of a 92.5 Kickin’ Country contest your voice, name and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes without any compensation to you.
  6. Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. 92.5 Kickin’ Country reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value.
  7. 5 Kickin’ Country’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. 92.5 Kickin’ Country will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prize.
  8. All winners of all contests are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on prize(s) awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600 or more will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the 92.5 Kickin’ Country studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds $600.
  9. In the event the winner is subject to or the subject of any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), 92.5 Kickin’ Country’s delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as (92.5 Kickin’ Country) awarding the prize to the winner. 92.5 Kickin’ Country shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. 92.5 Kickin’ Country shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto.
  10. All 92.5 Kickin’ Country contests are open to all eligible residents 18 or over (unless otherwise specified) living within 75 miles of station transmitter(s) and must not have won anything on 92.5 Kickin’ Country in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to 92.5 Kickin’ Country that will be presented to 92.5 Kickin’ Country and accepted before the prize is awarded. Employees of 92.5 Kickin’ Country, the Charleston Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred mile radius of the 92.5 Kickin’ Country main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian. All contest rules are available online at 925kickincountry.com/contests.
  11. Winners will claim their prize at the 92.5 Kickin’ Country studios, 2294 Clements Ferry Road Charleston, SC 29492, between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) within 30 days of being notified that they are a winner.
