Last night, we met Dalton Dover‘s voice. And Dalton Dover. You may have sampled some of his range from “Hear About a Girl” and “Damn Good Life,” now playing regularly on 92.5 Kickin’ Country. But in live performance, The Voice season 16 Team Blake artist has a set of pipes that, to say the least, don’t need a mic. And a vocal quality that evokes something between inspiration, deep aching and old fashioned gospel. Then there’s the lyrics, which embody pretty much every moment you’ve ever had trouble putting into words. His career is right about to explode and Kickin’ Country was lucky enough to hear him live at Rusty Bull Brewing Co. on Thursday, January 26.

He kicked things off with a heartfelt performance of his soon-to-be single “Givin’ Up On” and kept the great storytelling – and the feelings – flowing with “Hear About a Girl” (now in regular rotation on 92.5 Kickin’ Country), “Don’t Close Your Eyes” and “The Prayer That Got Me You.” Then he had us all raising our craft beer glasses to “You Got a  Small Town” and our new favorite drinking anthem “Because of Drinkin’.” That wasn’t all he played, but it was some of the best. Scroll on to relive some of our favorite moments below.

And don’t miss the next Nashville Hot show! In 2023, we’re keepin’ the steady flow of Nashville’s hottest on-the-cusp talent coming at ticket prices that are highway robbery. So, watch this space for details on the next one – they sell out fast! – plus, your chance to win VIP seats and a meet n’ greet with the artist.
