Contest Rules:

These are the rules governing the “Military Hero of the Month” contests aired on WCKN-FM/92.5 Kickin’ Country, WMXZ-FM/Mix 95.9 and on the 925kickincountry.com and mix959.com website and/or the 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 App, unless otherwise specified.  In the following rules, “92.5 Kickin\’ Country” and “Mix 95.9” mean Charleston Media Solutions, which owns 92.5 Kickin\’ Country and Mix 95.9 radio:

1. No purchase is necessary to enter any 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 contest.
2. Beginning Friday, January 2, 2026 at 12:01AM through Thursday, December 31, 2026 at 11:59PM, listeners will be directed to 925kickincountry.com or the www.mix959.com to the “Military Hero” contest page to complete a registration and submit required information about an active, former, or retired United States military member to nominate him/her to be the “Military Hero.” Military members may also nominate themselves.
3. Listeners of 92.5 Kickin’ Country and of Mix 95.9 will be competing with listeners from each station for the same prize.
4. On the first day of the month from 2/01/2026 through 1/01/2027, one (1) entrant will be randomly selected from all eligible entries as the Military Hero. If the office is closed due to a holiday or weekend on the first of the month, the winner will be randomly chosen on the next business day.
5. A submission must be received by 11:59PM on the last day of the month to be eligible for the next random drawing. Submissions received after that time will be in the running for the following month. Entrants who are not chosen will remain in the pool of entrants for the duration of the promotion.
6. The winner will be notified by telephone and/or email within 24 hours of being selected.
7. Each monthly winner will receive a Military Hero of the Month prize package which includes:

• One (1) Military Hero of the Month trophy
• One hundred dollars in gift cards from Red’s Ice House, 98 Church St, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
• A 100 dollar Visa Gift Card

8. The winner will have ten (10) business days to claim their prize at Charleston Media Solutions, 2294 Clements Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29492 any Monday through Friday between 8:30AM and 5PM.
9. To be eligible to win any prize on 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 you must not have won anything on 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
10. Anytime you call the 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded, and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast.
11. As a winner of a 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 contest your voice, name and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes without any compensation to you.
12. Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value.

1. 92.5 Kickin’ Country’ or Mix 95.9 s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. 92.5 Kickin Country or Mix 95.9 will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prize/prizes.

14. All winners of all contests are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on prize(s) awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600 or more will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds $600.
15. In the event the winner is subject to or the subject of any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), 92.5 Kickin\’ Country’s or Mix 95.9’s delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as (92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9) awarding the prize to the winner. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto.
16. All 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 contests are open to all eligible residents 18 or over (unless otherwise specified) living within 75 miles of station transmitter(s) and must not have won anything on 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 that will be presented to 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 and accepted before the prize is awarded. Employees of 92.5 Kickin\’ Country, or Mix 95.9 Charleston Media Solutions, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred mile radius of the 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. 17. Winners will be expected to claim their physical prize(s) at the 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 studios, 2294 Clements Ferry Road Charleston, SC 29492, between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) within 30 days of being notified that they are a winner, unless there is an expiration date on prize, which will be specifically stated.
18. Where the prize(s) consists of electronic (digital) concert or event tickets, the winner will receive an email from 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 with a hyperlink to an electronic waiver form that the winner must sign and return to 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 before the prize will be transferred to the winner. The tickets will be transferred to the winner by 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 or, in some cases, by a third party (for example, Ticketmaster, LiveNation, etc.) and the winner must check his or her email account for an email or cellular mobile number for a text message from the ticket provider in order to download the tickets. In some cases, the winner will be directed to go to a specified address and retrieve the tickets (“will-call tickets”), and winner agrees to pick up tickets as directed. In the event the winner does not have an email account or mobile phone, upon being notified by the winner, 92.5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 will download the tickets for pickup by the winner at 2294 Clements Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29492.
19. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. The contest is void where prohibited.
20. 5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if any contest rules are violated in any way.
21. 5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 assume no liability for situations, repairs, or incidents arising from any aspect of any prize awarded in any contest. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9, its advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each are absolved and shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest.
22. As a licensee of the FCC and a trustee of the public airwaves, 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 reserve the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prize(s)) at the discretion of 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 management if world events, the national mood, or public safety so warrant.
23. 5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 reserve the right to amend the rules to any contest at any time. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 ‘s decision is always final. In the event any one of the general contest rules which govern all 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 contests contradict with any specific contest term, the specific contest term will control.
24. 5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 shall have no responsibility for contestant’s inability or failure to participate, failure to win or claim any prize based on malfunction or difficulties with telephone, cell phone, texting, email, or internet access, or any other circumstances in any contest beyond 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9’s control.
25. For any contest involving on-line voting: If an entrant receives irregular votes, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated means, 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion and/or use another means to determine the winner(s), ex. – random selection or appointing a panel of judges.
26. For any contests involving tickets to live performances or events, winners will need to follow all COVID guidelines and protocols put in place by the concert organizer.
27. 5 Kickin’ Country or Mix 95.9 is not responsible for any event cancellations or reschedules.
28. 5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 is not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or act of man or God, lost, late, misdirected, postage-due, unintelligible, returned, undelivered entries or email, or lost, interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections availability, accessibility or traffic congestion, miscommunications, failed computer, network, telephone, satellite or cable hardware or software or lines, or technical failure, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or network. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this contest or website, or act in violation of the official service, as solely determined by the station, will be disqualified. Neither sponsor nor promotion parties are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this contest, and assumes no responsibility for any errors, omissions, deletion, interruption or delay in operation or transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized website access. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 is not responsible for injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from participating in this contest. Should any portion of a contest be, in 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the station, corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest, or contest plays, 92.5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 reserve the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the contest.
29. 5 Kickin\’ Country or Mix 95.9 has not made nor is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on prize(s) (if any) are provided only by the manufacturer, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
