Join 92.5 Kickin’ Country on Saturday, May 21 at Deepwater Vineyard’s first annual Mead-ival Festival – their “renaissance of mead” – from 10 AM to 5:30 PM for still and draft mead from Bears Bluff Meadery and renaissance-themed vendors, food, and fun.

Deepwater’s first ever renaissance themed festival, celebrates all things mead! It will be their pleasure to offer tastings of our 4 still meads, every 45 minutes throughout the day. The tasting will also feature a souvenir horn shot glass for you to take home. Throughout the day there will be other renaissance themed fun as well as local musicians and food trucks and, of course, turkey legs! Make sure you pick up a mead horn in the gift shop and try some of their draft meads or shooters as you enjoy the festivities.

Bears Bluff Meadery will debut their newest mead flavors that day, so make sure you grab tickets right here. Admission is $5 per person (3 and under free) and be sure to add on a $15 mead tasting to enjoy all of the newest meads (21+ only) and get your exclusive mead tasting glass.

Contest Rules:

These are the rules governing the “Mead-ival Festival” contest aired on 92.5 Kickin\’ Country radio and on the 925kickincountry.com website, unless otherwise specified. In the following rules, “92.5 Kickin\’ Country” means Charleston Radio Group, which owns 92.5 Kickin\’ Country radio:

1. No purchase is necessary to enter any 92.5 Kickin\’ Country contest.
2. You must be at least 21 year of age or older to win.
3. Beginning at 12:01AM on Tuesday, May 2, 2022 and continuing through 11:59AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, individuals will have the opportunity to win two (2) tickets to the “Mead-ival Festival” on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Deep Water Vineyards, 6775 Bears Bluff Road, Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487-6812.
4. The two (2) tickets will include admission for each individual, and a seat for each individual at the 12:15PM wine tasting at Deep Water Vineyards, 6775 Bears Bluff Road, Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487-6812. Admission and the wine tasting is valued at $20.00 per person.
5. An individual may win an invitation in two (2) separate ways. The first is to be the designated caller to (843) 972-9292 when the “Mead-ival Festival” contest is solicited on-air on 92.5 Kickin’ Country.  The contest solicit will air weekday mornings at various times between 6AM and 10AM.   There will be a total of nine (9) on-air winners during the contest period.
6. The second is visit 925kickincountry.com and enter up to once a day, each day, during the contest period. One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing of all eligible entries on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at approximately Noon.  The winner will be contacted within 4 hours of being selected at least three times by email and/or phone following the drawing and will have 24 hours to respond.    If the winner does not respond in the designated period, a new winner will be selected in a random drawing from all remaining eligible entries.
7. Winners will be sent an invitation by emailed to an address they have provided. The invitation will be for the winner and one (1) guest.
8. The Charleston Radio Group cannot be held responsible if the event is postponed or cancelled.
9. Winners must adhere to any and all Covid-19 protocols in place at the Festival.
10. Anytime you call the 92.5 Kickin\’ Country studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast.
11. As a winner of a 92.5 Kickin\’ Country contest your voice, name and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes without any compensation to you.
12. Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value.
13. 5 Kickin’ Country’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. 92.5 Kickin’ Country will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prize.
14. All winners of all contests are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on prize(s) awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600 or more will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the 92.5 Kickin\’ Country studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds $600.
15. In the event the winner is subject to or the subject of any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), 92.5 Kickin\’ Country’s delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as (92.5 Kickin\’ Country) awarding the prize to the winner. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto.
16. All 92.5 Kickin\’ Country contests are open to all eligible residents 18 or over (unless otherwise specified) living within 75 miles of station transmitter(s) and must not have won anything on 92.5 Kickin\’ Country in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to 92.5 Kickin\’ Country that will be presented to 92.5 Kickin\’ Country and accepted before the prize is awarded. Employees of 92.5 Kickin\’ Country, the Charleston Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred mile radius of the 92.5 Kickin\’ Country main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian. All contest rules are available online at 925kickincountry.com/contests .
17. 5 Kickin\’ Country reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if any contest rules are violated in any way.
18. 5 Kickin\’ Country assumes no liability for situations, repairs, or incidents arising from any aspect of any prize awarded in any contest. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country, its advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each are absolved and shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest.
19. As a licensee of the FCC and a trustee of the public airwaves, 92.5 Kickin\’ Country reserves the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prize(s)) at the discretion of 92.5 Kickin\’ Country management if world events, the national mood, or public safety so warrant.
20. 5 Kickin\’ Country reserves the right to amend the rules to any contest at any time. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country’s decision is always final. In the event any one of the general contest rules which govern all 92.5 Kickin\’ Country contests contradict with any specific contest term, the specific contest term will control.
21. For any contest requiring phone entry you must use only the following number unless otherwise specified: 843-972-9292. For texting it is 77000. The person operating the telephone at 92.5 Kickin\’ Country has the final decision as to who is the winning caller.
22. 5 Kickin\’ Country shall have no responsibility for contestant’s inability or failure to participate, failure to win or claim any prize based on malfunction or difficulties with telephone, cell phone, texting, email, or internet access, or any other circumstances in any contest beyond 92.5 Kickin\’ Country’s control.
23. For any contest involving on-line voting: If an entrant receives irregular votes, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated means, 92.5 Kickin\’ Country reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion and/or use another means to determine the winner(s), ex. – random selection or appointing a panel of judges.
24. 5 Kickin\’ Country is not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or act of man or God, lost, late, misdirected, postage-due, unintelligible, returned, undelivered entries or email, or lost, interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections availability, accessibility or traffic congestion, miscommunications, failed computer, network, telephone, satellite or cable hardware or software or lines, or technical failure, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or network. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this contest or website, or act in violation of the official service, as solely determined by the station, will be disqualified. Neither sponsor nor promotion parties are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this contest, and assumes no responsibility for any errors, omissions, deletion, interruption or delay in operation or transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized website access. 92.5 Kickin\’ Country is not responsible for injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from participating in this contest. Should any portion of contest be, in 92.5 Kickin\’ Country’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the station, corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest, or contest plays, 92.5 Kickin\’ Country reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the contest.
25. 5 Kickin\’ Country has not made nor is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on prize (if any) are provided only by the manufacturer, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
