“It ain’t the headache [we all had] tomorrow.” 😉 The sold-out crowd at Rusty Bull Brewing Co. was lucky to see skyrocketing Nashville star Hailey Whitters just before her Nashville career really took off – literally the next day with the first stop on her tour with Jon Pardi. She set the tone with a rollicking performance of “Plain Jane” and kept up the rowdy, playful energy throughout the whole set. We were equally as enthralled with her strong vocal talent and string accompaniment as with her “story song” set up. The stories behind current radio singles like “Everything She Ain’t” and older releases like “Janice at the Hotel Bar” gave new meaning to the heartfelt lyrics we all now know by heart. This Nashville Hot show was one we’ll never forget.

Missed it? Don’t sleep on the next one. These shows are selling out fast. Watch this space for ticket links to Ashley Cooke on Aug. 9, and your chance to win VIP seats, plus a meet n’ greet with the artist. As always, tickets include a free beer with valid I.D. and are an absolute steal compared to what it’ll cost to see her a year from now.

In the meantime, check out video and photo highlights of some of our favorite Hailey Whitters moments below.

First, enjoy our inaugural “Word Shuffle” – Hailey singing the Mad-Libbed lyrics to her hit “Everything She’s Ain’t”:

The Mets, Red Sox and Phillies aren’t out — but they’re very much down

Right now, FanGraphs still gives the Red Sox a 34% chance of making the playoffs, and the Phillies and Mets each a 33% chance. That means there's a decent shot one of those three teams will turn it around and reach the postseason. But so far this season has been dire for each of them.
