Congratulations to our Deserving Winner
Jeni Helmly – Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Nurse at MUSC!

Jeni’s sister nominated her for a free lunch from the Shelter Kitchen & Bar and a virtual meet and greet with country music star Lindsay Ell with the following entry:

I am nominating my sister Jeni Helmly. She has overcome adversity to pursue her passion and her calling to be the best nurse anyone could ask for. She was once a patient at MUSC Children’s Hospital when she was 13 from a horrible car accident. The nurses and doctors helped  mend her and now she helps mend the children in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. She loves all her patients and cares for them like they are family. She is my hero!!

And a huge thank you to all the deserving Lowcountry nurses and health care workers who have been bravely and selflessly serving the Lowcountry throughout the year, and especially now during the COVID-19 pandemic. You are true heroes!

Special thanks to
