One half of the duo Dan+Shay is celebrating on August 16. Happy 33^rd to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Dan Smyers. He and his partner in crime, Shay Mooney, began writing together the day after they met in Nashville. Since then, they’ve recorded seven top five hits and have had four #1 hits, plus have won a pair of Grammys and three Academy of Country Music Awards.
