On June 9, 2021, lucky Kickin’ listeners and hardworking health care workers saw Darius Rucker in a special performance – and his first since the pandemic – at The Windjammer on Isle of Palms. With all tickets either donated to hospitals across the Lowcountry or won by Kickin’ fans, the performance was a special thank you to our community’s – and Darius’ hometown’s – deserving front line workers. Even the rain couldn’t keep the fans away from the show and Hunter & Cush’s packed-out preparty live broadcast at Binky’s Seaside Oyster & Liquor Bar before the show. Fans took in the gorgeous beach view and entered to win last-chance tickets to the show.

At the show later, Darius wowed us with with sweet dance moves to a “No Diggity”  cover, had us all singing along to his new hit “Beers & Sunshine,” gave us all the feels with Hootie throwbacks including “Hold My Hand” and didn’t fail to deliver the favorites like “Alright.” He even surprised the crowd with special guest appearance by Radney Foster who joined Darius for a duet of “Fine Line.” It’s clear – Darius loves the Lowcountry and the Lowcountry loves Darius.

Thanks to Darius, The Windjammer, Binky’s and all the amazing Kickin’ fans who made this show the best one yet.
