That Time Naomi Judd Said Hi to Me

It was so sad to hear that Naomi Judd died over the weekend, on the day before the Judds would be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

My wife Elaine and I had the fortune of spending some time with Naomi and Wynonna backstage at Pine Knob in Detroit, Michigan.   Both Naomi and Wynonna were so kind to my wife, spending almost all of time speaking with her, but who could blame them!  They were terrific!

I somehow ended up with front row seats to that night’s show.   And, in the middle of the Judds set, Naomi walked to the edge of the stage where we were sitting, waved and said “Hi Brian!”   It was one of those cool, you’ll never forget moments.

An amazing woman, who created some timeless songs with her daughter, Naomi will live on through The Judds music.    If you haven’t, and have an opportunity, read “Love Can Build a Bridge” by Naomi and Wynonna and get an insight into their rollercoaster life.

#RIP Naomi Judd – thanks for your kindness, music and an amazing memoriy!
