What Are We Drinking This New Year’s Eve

Part of the tradition of welcoming the New Year is the adult beverages we consume on New Year’s Eve.    So what is it that you’ll be drinking when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st?

Our friends at Zippia analyzed Google data to determine each state’s favorite beverage to be toasting with to ring in the New Year.   The most popular choice is champagne, with 21 states, including South Carolina singing “Auld Lang Syne” with a glass of the bubbly.

In Connecticut, they toast midnight with prosecco
While we’re sure Jimmy Buffet is in warm weather, in New Hampshire they say hello to 2021 with a Margarita
Louisiana will celebrate with Sazerac, which is a New Orleans version of Whiskey
The cowboys in Wyoming go a different way, saying cheers with a White Russian
