“Doing the Most Good” – that’s the motto of the Salvation Army. This holiday season, consider helping with a generous donation of your time.

The Salvation Army’s annual Kettle Campaign is underway in the Lowcountry. Personalities from all of the Charleston Radio Group stations – Star 99.7, Mix 95.9, 99.3 The Box, 92.5 Kickin’ Country, 101.7 Chuck FM and Heaven 100.1 helped kick-off the campaign, ringing the bell on the campaign’s opening day.

Captains Cathy and Mike Michels of The Salvation Army explain, “For more than 125 years, the Salvation Army’s Red Kettles have stood as a beacon of hope during the holiday season.”

Volunteering as a bell ringer is an excellent opportunity to give back to the community while spreading the joy of the season. Volunteers are needed Monday through Saturday continuing through Dec. 23. Whether you can spare a few hours or several days, The Salvation Army has flexible volunteer opportunities.

You can sign up to volunteer to ring here. Or, email Captain Mike Michels at Mike.Michels@uss.salvationarmy.org. You can also call Captain Michels at (843)779-5859.
