Congress Woman Nancy Mace “PAWW ACT”

When we heard the news about how beagles were being tested on by the NIAID, we were in a word horrified. South Carolina’s Representative Nancy Mace has introduced the PAWW act. The Preventing Animal Abuse and Waste (PAAW) Act of 2021 prohibits the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from conducting or supporting research that could lead to “death, irreversible damage, significant pain, or distress” to dogs. We can agree that this is unacceptable. Thanks to Nancy Mace for speaking up on this bi-partisan issue.
