Since 1987 the Carolina Children’s Charity has been serving Lowcountry families. The nonprofit serves families and children in Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester counties fight the effects of birth defects and childhood diseases. Sonya Beale is the organization’s executive director and shared the way their fundraising has evolved over the years, but their 23rd annual Care, Give Run was happening on September 26th. Beale provide specifics on the event and how people can get involved, both by participating or volunteering. This year’s run theme is the 80s, and Beale shared sponsor information and the impact of the event on their Diplomats and families. The run could push the charity over the $5 million dollar mark in services provided in their four decades of assistance.
