As part of the Carolina Billfish Tournament, a secondary event, the Carolina Ladies Billfish Tournament has been established and will take place June 4th through the 17th. Kelly Carroll is the organizer of team “Fishing for a Cause,” a team of women participating to raise awareness and money for Share Our Suzy, a Lowcountry non-profit helping with breast cancer. Carroll talked about why it was important to participate, how she put together her team and how individuals and business could support her team and the event. Loyd Weston is the Marina General Manager at the host location of the tournament, Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina and explained why the Marina agreed to host the event and provided specifics on the tournament and how it will assist the charity and the community.
