In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the attacks on
September 11, 2001, the 9/11 Heroes Run will have a raised profile this
year. The annual 5K run will take place on Saturday, September 12th on
Daniel Island. The Executive Director of the event, Travis Dodd provide the
details for this year’s event including registration, the timeline for that
morning, packet pick-up events and the 9/11 Heroes Run After Party. He
also explained Travis Manion’s story, what the Travis Manion Foundation
does and how the money raised from this year’s run will help and impact the
Lowcountry community. Todd also discussed the support the event gets
from area first responders and how the finish line area of the 5K is set to
honor each participant finishing the 9/11 Heroes Run.
