Formed just over 15 years ago, the Lowcountry Veterans Group is a 501c3 nonprofit organization designed to help veterans. Maj. Jimmie C. Abram, an Executive Board Member, provided details on some of the things that group looks to do for veterans, including dealing with homeless veterans. Abram shared his thoughts on why homelessness is such a major problem with veterans, and what the group is doing to deal with the issue. Abram also provided information on the groups upcoming fundraising event, their first ever Lowcountry Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show on August 29th at Georgetown High School. Along with basics on the show, Abram shared how individuals and businesses can be a part of the event and how that will assist the group and make a difference for are veterans.
