Born and raised in Burgin, Kentucky, 6’4” Dillon Carmichael rose to fame in 2018 with his critically acclaimed debut of “Hell on an Angel,” which prompted NPR to praise his “deep holler” and the New York Times to declare that his voice moves “with the heft and certainty of a tractor-trailer.” Dates with everyone from Lynyrd Skynyrd and Trace Adkins to Dwight Yoakam and Justin Moore followed, as did festival appearances from Faster Horses to Tortuga and Artist to Watch nods from BillboardRolling StonePandora, and more. Carmichael followed it up in 2021 with “Son of A,” another neo-traditional gem that’s racked up more than 13 million streams across platforms and yielded similarly glowing reviews for its feel-good mix of wry humor and raw heart. After debuting as the #1 most-added single at country radio, the album’s title track is well on its way to a million plays on YouTube. Now, experience Dillon for yourself at Nashville Hot on Tuesday, May 28.

Opening for Dillion will be Drew Dangerfield, a Nashville based country and southern rock artist, born and raised in Charleston, SC. After making his debut as a performer at the Windjammer in 2021, he has gone on to perform at Darius Rucker’s Riverfront Revival Festival, the Bluebird Cafe and has opened for artists such as Jo Dee Messina and Tyler Farr. Drew recently recorded a live album at his last Windjammer show and it is set to release on June 21st.
