Tug was born and raised in Dalton, GA. He’s been married to his wife Laura for 23 years. His son Jakob is a student and on the baseball team at College of Charleston. As a US Navy veteran, Tug was stationed aboard USS South Carolina (CGN37) and on a flag staff, Commander Carrier Group Sox (ComCarGruSix) embarked aboard USS John F. Kennedy (CV67). Tug has worked in radio for 24 years, starting in his hometown, then in Chattanooga, Atlanta and now Charleston. Tug’s favorite parts about the Lowcountry are the beach, baseball and college football. His favorite country artists include Waylon, Whitley and Wallen.
